VERNON - Police in the Southern Interior are asking for the public's help in finding a wanted man who may be in the North Okanagan or Kamloops area.

Shane Mark Mulholland is wanted for failure to comply with a probation order, according to a news release by Vernon RCMP spokesperson Const. Kelly Brett.

Brett says police have made several attempts to locate Mulholland but have been unsuccessful.

Mulholland has been before the courts several times over the years, including when he was sentenced to four years in prison in July 2016 for molesting two young girls over the course of a decade.

He's described as 5'10", 221 lbs., with brown hair, and black eyes.

Police say Mulholland is considered violent, and warn the public to not attempt making any contact with him or trying to apprehend him.

If you have any information about Mulholland or where he may be, call Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800-222-8477.
