Police reveal second victim in Penticton shooting

Police investigate the scene of a shooting on Lindsay Road in Penticton on July 13, 2015.

PENTICTON - Police have revealed further information regarding a shooting incident near the city’s northeast boundary earlier this week.

Penticton RCMP say a second person was wounded following a shooting in the 2000-block of Lindsay Road at approximately 10:20 p.m. on July 13.

Police say the persons involved knew each other. The suspect and one of the victims are 31-year-old men who apparently became involved in an escalating conflict that eventually resulted in the shooting. A second victim suffered minor injuries and has since been release from hospital.

The man suspected in the incident has been arrested and is currently in custody. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, July 17, at 9:30 a.m.

The investigation into the shooting continues. Police have established the shooting as an isolated incident that poses no further threat to the public.
