Police recover body of missing man thrown from speed boat in Shuswap Lake crash

SALMON ARM - The body of a missing 33-year-old man has been found after he was thrown from a speed boat over the Labour Day long weekend.

Salmon Arm RCMP recovered a body late yesterday evening, Sept. 9, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP say the missing man identified by police as Ryan Hartmann of Lake Country, was ejected from a boat after a two-vessel crash on Sunday, Sept. 1 on Shuswap Lake.

After days of searching, the RCMP underwater recovery team recovered the body of the Lake Country man.

The B.C. Coroners Service continues to investigate the man's death to determine how, where, when and by what means he came to his death.

No other information was released.
