KELOWNA – Police won't say if the man whose bullet riddled SUV was found in the Kelowna hospital one week ago is cooperating with police.

Around 6 p.m. Feb. 28, a man in his 20s with at least one gunshot wound, drove himself to the Kelowna General Hospital emergency room. His Jeep SUV - with six bullet holes in the driver side - was left in the hospital drop off zone.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said at the time that “preliminary information suggests that this was not a random attack” but appealed to the public for information.

The victim, he says, was released from the hospital the next day but "continues to recover from his injuries."

No charges have been laid, according to court records, and when asked if the victim was cooperating, O’Donaghey said “the investigation remains active” and that RCMP are following up on leads.

"No further updates to provide at this time. Investigators… still encourage anyone with any information to call police.”
