VERNON - Police are looking for a driver who plowed into a parked car, as well as a cement wall and hedge, before fleeing the scene.

Police were called for a report of the hit and run in the 3400 block of Okanagan Avenue Saturday, Dec. 10, around 10 p.m., Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says.

According to neighbours, a grey or silver 2008/2012 GMC Sierra with an eight to ten inch lift kit and a thin LED light bar above the windshield crashed into a parked 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, pushing it against a garage door and damaging the house.

“The Sierra then collided with a short cement wall, gardens and hedges before fleeing westbound on Okanagan Avenue,” Noseworthy says.

The suspect truck would have damage to its front end, Noseworthy says.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
