KAMLOOPS — Police are looking for a man who robbed a movie rental store in Kamloops last night.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect who robbed Movie Mart in the 300 block of St. Paul Street, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP say around 8:50 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 10, a man entered the store with his face covered and carrying a knife. He jumped over the corner and told the employee to open the cash register.

The suspect took cash from the register and left the store heading west on St. Paul Street, police say.

The store clerk was not injured.

Police describe the man as 5’9” or 5’10” tall, 140 to 150 lbs. with darker-coloured skin. He was wearing a blue baseball cap with an orange brim, black bandana, light blue hoody with black sleeves with a large DC logo on the front. He was also wearing black sweatpants and blue and black gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
