An armed robbery took place on Kamloops North Shore last night and police are looking for witnesses.

A man in possession of a firearm allegedly walked into a store in the 300-block of Tranquille Road and demanded cash and products at around 10 p.m., Sunday, May 29, according to an RCMP media release.

“Afterwards, the man walked northbound on Tranquille Road with two green bags and the firearm in hand,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. “We’re hoping someone saw something or captured an image that can help police further the investigation.”

Officers, including the Police Dog Service Unit, attended the area but were unable to locate a suspect.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 30s, approximately 6’1” tall with thick brown eyebrows. He was wearing a black hoody with a white shirt hanging out at the bottom, a green baseball cap, ski mask, blue or grey pants and camo gloves.

He was in possession of a firearm and is believed to be associated to a dark sedan that was parked nearby during the duration of the robbery.

Anyone who witnessed, has security or dash cam footage, or information related to this investigation is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-18033.
