Police looking for tips after man pulls knife on Vernon Dollar Store staff

VERNON - RCMP are looking for the public’s assistance after a robbery last night in Vernon.

Around 8:40 p.m. the Dollar Tree on 43 Ave. near  was robbed by a man with a knife. He entered the store, pulled the knife and told staff it was a robbery, according to a press release. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured in the incident.

The man was approximately 5’8” and wearing a blue jacket, dark pants, white running shoes, a toque and gloves.

Police are looking for witnesses or anyone with information about the crime. The Vernon RCMP can be reached at 250-545-7171 or tips can be anonymously called in to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
