Police look for help identifying man who spat at employee at Kamloops business

An employee at a business in the Vallyview area of Kamloops was spat at late last month and RCMP are looking to the public to identify him.

An employee at a business in the Vallyview area of Kamloops was spat at late last month and RCMP are looking to the public to identify him.

Officers were called to a report of an assault at a business at around 4:40 p.m. July 30 in the 2100 block of the Trans-Canada Highway, according to an RCMP media release.

The man allegedly spat at an employee.

“Since the report was received, police have secured an image of the suspect and are hopeful someone will recognize him to help further the investigation,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

RCMP describe the suspect as a Caucasian male, 25 to 30 years old, 5’6” tall, 130 lb. with blonde hair. He was wearing a dark shirt and cut-off shorts, and was carrying a duffle bag.

Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-27401.
