Shots were reportedly fired at a residence in Kelowna last night and RCMP are investigating.
Police responded to a complaint of shots being fired at a residence in the 800 block of Kiniski Road on Oct. 27, just before 11p.m., according an RCMP media release.
“Frontline officers immediately attended the area and located evidence of gunfire that targeted a specific residence,” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in the release. “The residence was occupied by six adults. Fortunately, no one was injured.”
No suspects were located after the area was searched and officers remain in the area today collecting evidence and speaking to potential witnesses, RCMP said.
Anyone with information on this crime, or who had surveillance video of the area, is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP by calling 250-762-3300, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
— This story was corrected at 11:58 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 after RCMP erroneously reported there were four adults and a youth in the home. RCMP now say there were six adults in the home and no youth were present.
