PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are investigating mischief at a couple of the city’s schools.

RCMP media spokesperson Cpl. Ted Manchulenko says police were called to Holy Cross Elementary School at 1298 Main St. and Wiltse Elementary School at 640 Wiltse Blvd. on March 10 to investigate vandalism complaints.

Several windows in both schools were broken. It isn’t known if entry was gained to the buildings through the broken windows.

Several vehicles near Holy Cross School were also victimized, when six cars were keyed.

Police were also called to an Okanagan Falls residence on Birch Street at approximately 11:30 p.m. last night, March 14, after a small fire was reported.

A number of teens were staying at the residence, and one of the guests thought it would be a fun prank to throw a sparkler in the front door.

No injuries and minimal damage was reported.
