Pole stops drunk driver in Vernon

The crash scene on Alexis Park Drive.

VERNON - A woman who crashed her car into a pole blew three times over the legal limit for alcohol, Vernon RCMP allege.

Police were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision in the 3700 block of Alexis Park Drive, Tuesday, February 27 around 7 p.m. Vernon RCMP media relations officer Const. Kelly Brett said in a press release.

Brett alleges the driver displayed signs of impairment before being arrested and then sent by B.C. Ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.

A 40-year-old Vernon woman is facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in court April 26, Brett said.
