KELOWNA - Locals drivers should take note of some short-term road closings that could affect travel plans.
Sexsmith Road will closed at 5 p.m. today to make way for crews installing sewer upgrades for a new commercial development.
The closing affects the segment of Sexsmith between Cambro and Campion Roads. A detour is available via Pinto Road, Appalosa Road Road and Arab Road.
The closure runs through until Sunday, April 12 at midnight, with additional delays expected during repaving on Tuesday, April 14.
Come 9 a.m. Monday morning, April 13, commuters in the Mission will have to deal with single lane alternating traffice between Cook Road and Lexington Road for paving crews to finish off some repaving. The closure ends at 5 p.m.
Drivers in the downtown core can look forward to the reopening today at 4 p.m. of Ellis Street between Doyle Avenue and the Library Parkade.
Upgrades to water mains and sewer services have kept the road closed since the middle of March, as crews prepare for the Library parkade expansion.
