Person sent to hospital after being hit by train in Salmon Arm

One person is in the hospital with “moderate” injuries after being hit by a train in Salmon Arm this morning.

Three ambulances and an air ambulance were dispatched to the Marine Park Drive crossing Feb. 13 at roughly 11:26 a.m., said B.C. Emergency Health Service spokesperson Orna Daly.

“The patient had been hit by a train in Salmon Arm… and was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries,” she said, adding she can’t provide details on what hospital the patient was sent to or additional details on the patient.

The B.C. RCMP could not be immediately reached for comment.
