Penticton's public comment period for cannabis retail applications ending soon

The City of Penticton is currently looking at 10 retail cannabis applications and two applications seeking rezoning. The public input period for comment on applications ends on March 11.

PENTICTON - The City of Penticton has received and is presently processing 10 applications for cannabis retail outlets in the city with two more applicants seeking rezoning, as the closing date for public comment on cannabis retail outlets in the City of Penticton nears.

The following locations are being studied by the city for a retail cannabis operation:

  • Green Light Cannabis, 101-94 Ellis Street
  • Green Gala Cannabis, 210 Main Street
  • Greenery Cannabis Boutique, 465 Main Street
  • Cannabis Cottage, 385 Martin Street
  • Green Essence, 101-437 Martin Street
  • Blue Water Cannabis,101-130 Nanaimo Avenue
  • Zen Canna,103-2050 Main Street
  • B.C. Cannabis Store, 106-2210 Main Street
  • Spiritleaf, 102-2695 Skaha Lake Road
  • Southside Cannabis Market, 103-3502 Skaha Lake Road

City Planning Manager Blake Laven says the public comment period for most of the applications closes on March 11. City staff will present their recommendations to council at the April 16 regular council meeting.
