Penticton’s annual Fest of Ale is facing its second cancellation in as many years due to COVID-19.

It would have been the 26th annual Okanagan Fest of Ale in Penticton but due to ongoing health and safety regulations regarding COVID-19, organizers announced in a media release today, March 31, this year's event has been cancelled.

“The health and safety of our members and industry colleagues is critical, as is doing what we can to avoid any further spread of the virus," Fest of Ale event manager Sarah Taylor said in the release. 'We hope everyone stays well during this challenging time.”

Taylor said Fest of Ale directors are "look forward to seeing all our trusted vendors, patrons and artists on the other side of the pandemic and when it is again safe to gather."

Organizers plan to have a Fest of Ale on April 8 and 9 in 2022.
