PENTICTON - Racing season returns to Penticton this weekend with the first scheduled events at Penticton Speedway.
Opening day is Sunday, April 28, starting at 2 p.m. with a full card of racing events including hornets, street stocks and the always popular hit to pass & flying destruction events.
“Every year we’re busier and better. The flying destruction event was added two years ago and is proving to be a crowd favourite, especially when trailers are added,” says speedway owner Johnny Aantjes.
The speedway is celebrating its 50th year this year.
Tickets are available at the gate for this weekend’s action with family pricing and kids 10 and under free.
The speedway has full concession facilities and parking is free.
