PENTICTON - A vehicle crash knocked out the power for about 400 homes in Penticton last night.

The city says the crash into a power pole on the Channel Parkway in front of Skaha Ford at around 8:30 p.m. yesterday, Nov. 1, cut the power to 421 homes in Penticton's northwest end for approximately one hour.

The South Okanagan Events Centre also lost power and staff were evacuated as a precaution, the city says.
