PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are on the hunt for the driver of a black pickup truck after a man exposed himself to a 12-year-old.

Penticton RCMP spokesperson Const. James Grandy says in a press release police are investigating the indecent exposure which occurred on yesterday, Nov. 4, at around 1 p.m.

The child was walking along Kinney Avenue west of McGraw Street in Penticton when a man in his 60s called the child over to the vehicle’s passenger window, Grandy says. The man asked the child for directions, who was unable to assist the driver.

As the child walked away, the driver called them back to the truck where he had his pants pulled down and had exposed his erect penis.

Grandy says the suspect said words to the effect, “Have you seen one of these before?” The child turned around and walked away and the driver immediately departed the scene.

The pickup truck is described as a black Ford FX Ranger with “FX” on the side of the truck, no canopy, a white box in the bed, and looked shiny and new.

RCMP describe the suspect as a Caucasian man in his 60s, with a grey moustache. He was wearing a dark grey hat and dark shirt.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
