Penticton RCMP investigating suspicious house fire

Penticton RCMP are investigating after a suspicious house fire Sunday night.

According to a Penticton RCMP media release, police were called to the blaze at 9:45 p.m. yesterday, May 1, as firefighters battled the fire at a property in the 700 block of Westminster Avenue W.

Police say all occupants managed to escape the residence unharmed.

"We are treating this fire as suspicious" Penticton RCMP Sgt. Scott Hanry said in the release. "Our officers will remain on scene while we conduct an investigation into the cause and origin of this fire."

Penticton police are urging anyone with any information about the fire to contact them at 250-492-4300.

No other information has been released.
