PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are investigating a dispute in ownership regarding a vehicle and the theft of a large trailer from a southend property earlier this week.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says a 1987 Nissan pickup truck reported stolen on April 3 was recovered by police at a residence on Green Lake Road.

A discrepancy with respect to the truck’s actual ownership was encountered by police, as one of the residents claimed they had purchased the vehicle from the registered owner for $600.

A 16-foot cargo trailer bearing license tag 9948D with a large sticker that says, “Moto Motion” was reported stolen from a yard in the 4100 block of Skaha Lake Road at 4 p.m., Monday afternoon, April 10.

The trailer was last seen being towed towards Kaleden by a white truck.
