PENTICTON - Thieves were targetting scooters, bicycles and construction equipment in Penticton last week, according to RCMP

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says on July 12, a Honda Dio scooter with plate number LO6 484 was reported stolen from a Bennett Street residence, and on July 18, an orange Devinci BMX bike disappeared from a campsite at Wrights Beach Resort.

A 17-inch grey coloured Jamis women's bike was also reported missing from a Rene Avenue residence on July 18.

Theft from a construction site on Arawanna Road overnight July 11 resulted in the loss of hundreds of feet of cable from a rock crushing machine, tools, scales, a laptop computer and thousands of dollars in damage to property after thieves cut power cables.
