PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are re-releasing information on a 20-year-old murder in the hopes of finally solving it.

On May 7, 1997, police discovered the remains of Diane Stewart at the Penticton Indian Band Reserve.

Stewart was reported missing on Jan. 1, 1997, after she left a New Year's Eve party, never to be heard from again. A forensic autopsy revealed Stewart died due to foul play.

Stewart was last seen traveling west on Westhills Drive. She was wearing black jeans, winter boots, and a black leather jacket.

Anyone with information on this cold case is asked to contact Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
