Penticton RCMP arrest man overdosing in stolen vehicle

Police and concerned citizens combined to potentially save a man from an overdose in Penticton today. They also assured his arrest.

Penticton RCMP found the man overdosing in a stalled vehicle near Main Street and Duncan Avenue West, at 3:30 p.m. July 30, according to an RCMP release.

The 38-year-old Delta man was treated by B.C. Ambulance, and subsequently regained consciousness.

The vehicle was found to be stolen, and he was arrested for possessing stolen property, and also for driving while prohibited and breaching release conditions not to be present in any motor vehicle.

He has since been released on an undertaking to appear in court.
