A multicultural experience, now in its seventh year, returns to Penticton later this month.

The annual OneWorld Multicultural Festival takes place at Penticton’s Lakeside Resort from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, representing more than 35 cultures in a single celebration of ethnic diversity, according to a South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services media release.

Admission is free to this event that celebrates music and dance, food and stories from the region's different cultures and ethnicities.

The event attracts 2,500 attendees annually, organizers say.

“Last year alone the SOICS served immigrants from 94 different countries. The OneWorld Festival shines a spotlight on the rich diversity immigrants bring to the region. It is a venue to connect, understand and appreciate our cultural diversity and grow together. It is a celebration,” program manager Cherry Fernandez says in the release.

More information about the festival can be found at here.
