Penticton man found badly beaten on side of road

PENTICTON – A man is in police custody after what police are calling “a serious assault” that left a Penticton man badly injured on the side of the road Thursday morning.

According to a release, Penticton RCMP were called to the 3 km mark on Shingle Creek Road off Green Mountain Road shortly after 8:30 a.m.

When officers arrived they found the man “badly injured” on the side of the road. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A 32-year-old man is in custody however police are currently searching for other suspects.

Cpl. Dave Tyreman says police believe the individuals know each other and the public is not at risk.
