PENTICTON - A 59-year-old man was killed in a workplace accident in Penticton yesterday.

RCMP were called to a residential construction site on Sendero Crescent in Penticton on Sunday, March 25, at around 8:45 p.m., after a deceased man was found.

Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a media release the 59-year-old man died as the result of a fall from a "site structure."

"The man’s death has been deemed an accidental work related fatality," Moskaluk says in the release.

RCMP are assisting the B.C. Coroners Service and Worksafe B.C. in the investigation into both the fall and the man’s death.

His identity has not been released.
