The TRU WolfPack Swim Team had 4 Swimmers compete at the Penticton Iron Pentathlon Oct 14 – 16th. The Pack had a total of 10 top 10 placing’s in the meet over the weekend. Each swimmers competed in 5 events each day for a total of 15 events over the weekend. The times in all the events go towards determining which swimmer is the overall Triple Iron Pentathlete Champion of the meet. Those swimmers from TRU Included:
Jagdeesh Uppal ( 4th year, Kamloops, BC) in the 15 & Over Boys had 2 third place finishes in the 50 and 200 Breaststroke events and a 4th place finish in the 100 Breastroke and cumulatively finished 13th overall in the 15 & Over Boys Iron Pentathlete event.
Joelle Young (1st year, Fort McMurray, AB) in the 15 & Over Girls had 3 fourth place finishes in the 50, 100 and 200 Breaststroke events, a 5th place finish in the 400 IM , 6th in the 100 IM , 7th in the 200 IM and a 9th place finish in the 200 Backstroke. Cumulatively she finished 6th overall in the 15 & Over Girls Iron Pentathlete event.
Taylor Carmichael (2nd year, Merritt, BC) in the 15 & Over Girls cumulatively she finished 13th overall in the 15 & Over Girls Iron Pentathlete event.
Gabrielle Dagasso (1st year, Kamloops, BC) in the 15 & Over Girls cumulatively she finished 33rd overall in the 15 & Over Girls Iron Pentathlete event.
