Penticton homeowner losing the battle against property thieves

Police are investigating the theft of a security light and a step ladder at an Orchard Avenue address in the midst of the homeowner's attempts to make his residence more secure.

PENTICTON - A Penticton man’s attempt to secure his residence became an exercise in frustration last week.

Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Ted Muchalenko says a resident on Orchard Avenue had a recently installed security light stolen off his back fence last week.

On Nov. 23 he attempted to install a new security light on a taller post in the back yard.

Leaving his step ladder momentarily to step inside the house for tools, he returned to find his step ladder was stolen.

Police are investigating, with no suspects so far.
