Approximately 20 art students from Grades 11 and 12 from Penticton High School have created a watercolour art project inspired by the Cirque Musica Holiday Spectactular, which comes to the South Okanagan Events Centre Sunday, December 4.
The students' art will be on display to the public at the South Okanagan Events Centre in the BC Hockey Hall of Fame from November 30 to December 4, 2016.
Cirque Musica Holiday Spectactular is a fun-filled family holiday event featuring the cast of Cirque Musica together with all-time favorite holiday songs performed live by the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra. Cirque Musica is a concert and visual experience where audiences journey into a world of high-flying adventure with amazing acrobats, aerialists, hilarious hijinks and holiday cheer. The show blends the spell-binding grace and dare-devil athleticism of today’s greatest circus performers with the sensory majesty of the greatest holiday music of all time.
Cirque Musica will feature LIVE music performed by the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra. The inclusion of the live orchestra will bring life to wonderful holiday classics and will introduce audiences to a whole new entertainment experience.
The Okanagan Symphony is the third largest professional Symphony Orchestra in British Columbia, and has entertained residents of the Okanagan Valley and visitors from around the globe with symphonic music since 1960.
