PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP arrested a driver after spotting him stunting with his pickup truck on the weekend.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth said officers pulled over a driver who was observed spinning the wheels of the pickup truck he was driving on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Wrigglesworth says it took police several blocks to get the man to pull over. He finally did in the 900 block of Dynes Avenue. Officers suspected he had been drinking.

The driver identified himself to police, then took off on foot. Several minutes later he returned on his own volition and was arrested.

Wriggleworth says the driver was released after he’d sobered up, but not before being handed a Immediate Roadside Prohibition and a 30-day vehicle impoundment.
