PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are investigating several commercial and industrial break-ins that occurred earlier over the past week.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says on Thursday, Feb. 23, police investigated an alarm at The Bum Wrap in the 200 block of Main Street, arriving at the retail outlet to find the front door glass smashed. Sunglasses and watches were reported missing from a display case.

Police were called to a break in reported overnight on Feb. 27 to Vantage Marine on Industrial Avenue. Four shipping containers were broken into but the only thing reported missing was a barbecue. Surveillance footage is being reviewed.

Wriggelsworth says a truck, horse trailer and a horse barn located on Veteran Drive in West Bench were broken into and reported on Feb. 27. Horse tack and equestrian gear was taken from the barn, which was not locked, and a gas card taken from the pickup truck. The gas card was cancelled before it was used.
