PENTICTON - A new tasting and shopping event is headed to Penticton’s downtown core in time for Peachfest.

The Downtown Penticton Association is combining downtown shops, boutiques, galleries and other businesses to create a shopping, sipping and sampling event called “Chill’n 4 Summer” on Thursday, Aug. 8.

Downtown association event manager Amber Belcourt says Chill ’n 4 Summer is a “different kind of event” offering a food and wine tasting at each stop.

“It’s a fun evening for adults only. It’s going to be a more intimate social affair with terrific shopping in some of downtown Penticton’s trendiest boutiques and hip yet sophisticated shops,” she says.

The evening runs from 5 to 8:30 p.m. with a welcome reception at Mondo Creation where guests will be provided hor d’oeuvres, wine and special draws. Participants are then given a passport to begin shopping and tasting.

There are only 100 tickets available, at $40 each plus taxes. Tickets can be purchased from Eventbrite.ca

All participating locations within walking distance of each other in downtown Penticton.

For more information, see the downtown Penticton website or call: 250-493-8540.

The Chill 'n 4 Summer event involves up to 11 stops at downtown shops with a tasting experience at each one.
