Pedestrian struck near Cinnamon Ridge in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - A man walking along the rural stretch of Tranquille Road was sent to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

The man was walking in the 4000-block of Tranquille Road near Cinnamon Ridge around 1:45 p.m., today, June 16, when he was struck, RCMP say in a release.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

RCMP say a traffic analyst is on scene and drivers can expect the stretch of road to be closed until roughly 7 p.m. today.
