PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP will not be laying charges after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street yesterday.

The incident took place at the Main Street and Warren Avenue intersection at around 5:30 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 8, when a driver attempting to turn left onto Warren Avenue struck a pedestrian crossing Warren Avenue on the west side, according to an RCMP media release.

The driver attempted the turn as the light was turning yellow, with intersection conditions lit but dark, with snow falling.

The pedestrian suffered minor abrasions to her arm.

RCMP say no charges are being considered in the incident.
