Pedestrian struck by semi on Trans-Canada in Kamloops

A woman was rushed to hospital early this morning after she was hit by a semi.

An officer on patrol was first on the scene of the collision at around 4:35 a.m. today, Oct. 25, in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 at Oriole Road, according to an RCMP media release.

“The woman was taken to and remains in hospital,” Kamloops RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

“The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time, but she is expected to survive.”

Anyone who witnessed or has dash camera footage related to this investigation is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-38288.
