Pedestrian killed by semi-truck identified

VERNON - A woman who died when she was struck by a semi-truck in Vernon Sept. 8 has been identified.

She was Melanie Dawn Suski, 33, from Vernon.

Suski was walking south on Hwy 97 next to Polson Park at about 11 a.m. when she was hit by a the large truck that was heading the same direction as Suski. She was pronouced dead at the scene. 

Suski's family have been notified. The coroners service continues to investigate.
