A 67-year-old Kamloops man was hit by a truck in the Costco parking lot last night at about 4 p.m.
He was transported to Royal Inland Hospital after sustaining a cut to his head and reporting neck and chest pains.
The driver stayed on the scene and told RCMP he was turning left in the parking lot when the man was hit by his mirror assembly kit.
The pedestrian told RCMP that he didn't see the truck coming.
The driver was handed a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
After multiple pedestrian related incidents in the past months, RCMP are reminding drivers and pedestrians to be extra vigilant, especially with icy road conditions.
