A Peachland man was in utter disbelief after he won $25,000 in a Keno draw.
Philip Chizmazia won exactly $25,005.50 in a Keno draw, March 27.
The Peachland resident was in Kamloops for work when he stopped at 7-Eleven on Rogers Way to purchase a Keno ticket, according to a press release issued by the B.C. Lottery Corporation.
“I was watching the numbers on my phone and counting the numbers as they came up,” Chizmazia said in the news release. “It didn’t show the winning amount until the next day. I was in shock when I saw it.”
Chizmazia said it was “unbelievable" to be a Keno winner and he plans to spend some of his winnings on a bathroom renovation for his dad.
