PEACHLAND - A Peachland film maker will be coming home to shoot a second feature film in the area.
Andrew Huculiak will be shooting the dramatic feature I’m Not a Bad Person from Aug. 15 through Sept.10, according to an Okanagan Film Commission media release.
The production is currently in preparation and casting calls are anticipated to begin this week.
"The creative team for the movie is Andrew who will direct the film, his brother Josh Huculiak who is the producer and their cousin Joe Schweers' best friend Cayne McKenzie," Film Commissioner Jon Summerland says in the release.
I’m Not a Bad Person is a follow up to a previous feature Violent which achieved some critical acclaim. Violent named the best Canadian feature film at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
Andrew grew up in Peachland and continues to have a close affinity to the community, Summerland says.
“It is great to have a film being shot here that will be putting the focus on a real B.C. town," Summerland says. "These filmmakers plan to re-engage with their roots and immerse their team into the local atmosphere and then bring that to the big screen."
