Patient flees Logan Lake recovery home prompting shelter-in-place order at nearby school

FILE PHOTO

A patient fled a recovery home in Logan Lake this morning prompted a shelter in place order at a local school.

The 37-year-old man was under a court order to remain at the Vision Quest Society recovery facility and he took off at around 11 a.m. today, Sept. 28, according to an RCMP press release.

The man was spotted by RCMP officers who lost sight of him after he jumped over a fence.

Logan Lake Elementary school is in the area so it had to follow its shelter-in-place policy.

With help from police dog the man was found in an out-building and arrested.

The suspect is currently in custody facing possible charges of breaching his release order, obstruction and mischief.
