Parliament shooter, dead soldier named

OTTAWA - The gunman slain this morning during a shooting on Parliament Hill in Ottawa has been identified by CBS news as 32-year-old Canadian-born Michael Zehaf-Bibeau.

CBS cited 'intelligence sources' as the origin of the information.

The soldier who was killed during the shootout was 24-year-old Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, according to CBC. He was a reservist from Hamilton standing guard Wednesday at the National War Memorial in Ottawa.
