Scores of paper plates were plummeting during an extremely challenging contest for fans at last night’s Penticton Vees game.
Targets were placed on the surface of the ice during intermission at the Dec. 16 game against the Wanatchee Wild, and the fan whose paper plate landed closest would win a prize.
But apparently paper plates don’t glide like frisbees. Only a few fans managed to get their plates onto the ice at all, but none appeared close to any of the targets.
“Just start chuckin’ ‘em,” a man can be heard saying over the PA.
“Oh no.”
