KELOWNA - Communities are buzzing with the arrival of the much anticipated Papa John’s Dreams for Kids Day.

April 29 marks the first Papa John’s Dreams for Kids Day in support of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. Funds raised today at the five participating Papa John’s locations will support the 60th Sunshine DreamLift (Kelowna) and Sunshines Dreams programs.

Earlier this year Papa John’s Pizza said yes as a new caring partner to Sunshine Foundation ensuring the Sunshine DreamLift Kelowna takes flight on December 9, 2015.

“Today is the day our community pulls together to make dreams happen for kids living with severe disabilities,” says Geoff Linquist, president of Papa John’s Pizza, B.C. “As our team prepares for what we hope is a very busy day we offer our thanks to so many — we have had such tremendous support from everyone. We know today is going to be a great day.”

April 29, 2015 marks the first Papa John’s Dreams for Kids Day and is set for five locations in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Kamloops and Prince George. Participating stores are donating 100 per cent of the day of proceeds and their staff wages to the Sunshine DreamLift Kelowna and Sunshine Dreams programs. Papa John’s DreamCookie is also on sale with one dollar from each order supporting Sunshine Dreams.

“We are thrilled to be here for Papa John’s Dreams for Kids Day,” says Nancy Sutherland, CEO of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. “The Papa John’s team has been working tirelessly to organize this special day that is sure to be a grand success. I offer our deepest gratitude to the Papa Johns staff, local volunteers, members of the Orange County Sheriffs, Sunshine families and each customer for making today such a memorable day in support of The Sunshine Foundation.”

Ignited by Geoff Linquists community spirit and embraced by a caring team of Papa John’s store owners, managers, district leaders, staff and volunteers, Papa John’s Dreams for Kids Day is about a caring business and caring communities supporting dreams for Sunshine Kids.
