A group of anti-COVID-19 restriction protestors are organizing a rally, but this time they plan to link arms along the Trans-Canada Highway next month.

The so-called Freedom Chain will be held in Salmon Arm on Saturday, March 5. Organizers aim to extend the chain of people from coast to coast. Similar events are being planned around B.C., including Chilliwack, and in other provinces.

"Holding hands or linking arms for freedom across Canada," reads an online event poster.

Protest organizers are encouraging people in Kelowna to gather at McCurdy Corner before driving Salmon Arm.

Protests against COVID pandemic restrictions have long been held in the Thompson-Okanagan. Anti-COVID restriction protesters drove from Vernon to the Osoyoos border crossing over several weekends in support of protesters in Ottawa.
