KELOWNA - Get ready for some traffic slowdowns starting this weekend in Kelowna.

According to Drive B.C., paving operations are set to begin on the one kilometre stretch between Abbott Street and the William R. Bennett Bridge at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 2.

Construction will take place daily from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. until the project finishes up on June 6.

As the main route connecting Kelowna and West Kelowna, the pavement work is sure to cause traffic delays, although its late-night and early morning hours could minimize the inconvenience for the majority of drivers.

For the latest on the roadwork go to Drive B.C.'s website here.
