Kamloops RCMP are asking the public for help to identify a person of interest following an overdose death in the city this past summer.

Officers were called to a possible overdose in the 1200 block of Summit Drive in Kamloops at approximately 8 p.m., Aug. 26, according to an RCMP media release.

The man didn’t make it and was pronounced dead shortly after officers arrived.

“To date, investigators have been unable to identify a person of interest they’d like to speak with,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

RCMP have released photos and a description of the person they are looking for.

He is described as a Caucasian male, 5’10” tall with an average build. He was wearing a hoodie with a marijuana leaf image on it, a black hat, pants and shoes. He was carrying a blue bag.

If you are the person of interest, or if you know who he is, call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-29876.
