KELOWNA - Two Canadian rock bands are back together again as they tour across Canada this fall and making a stop in the Okanagan.
Our Lady Peace and I Mother Earth, including original vocalist Edwin will kick off the tour in Abbotsford on Oct. 15 and then will stop at Prospera Place in Kelowna for the only other B.C. show. Special guests The Standstills will join them on tour.
The two bands toured together in the mid-90s as their breakout albums propelled them into Canadian stardom. Our Lady Peace has since earned four Juno Awards, four CASBYs and 10 Much Music Video Awards. Their second album, Clumsy, is the only alternative rock album in Canadian history to reach the Diamond Award status after selling more than a million albums.
Edwin has rejoined I Mother Earth for the 2016 tour. The band has earned multiple top-10 hits in Canada and is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its benchmark album, Scenery and Fish.
Tickets for the Kelowna concert start at roughly $60 and go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, June 24. Tickets are available at www.selectyourtickets.com, charge by phone at 250-762-5050 and the Prospera Place box office.
