Osoyoos RCMP seeking identity of suspected thief

OSOYOOS - Osoyoos RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man suspected to be involved in several South Okanagan break-ins.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a media release the suspect is believed to have broken into the Nk’Mip Corner Petro Canada in Osoyoos on April 15 at about 3:44 a.m. and that's where he was caught on video surveillance. The man is also believed to be responsible for other break enter and thefts throughout the South Okanagan.

Moskaluk says the suspect was last known to be driving a stolen black 2009 Ford Escape with B.C. plates 780 GWF.

It is thought the man may be heading to Calgary, Alberta.

Anyone with any information that can help identify the suspect are asked to call the Osoyoos RCMP at 250-495-7236 or Crime Stoppers, and quote file 2017-1633.

Police are also on the lookout for the suspect's vehicle a 2009 Ford Escape.
