Burning restrictions are being lifted in the Kamloops Fire Centre.
Effective at noon Wednesday, Sept. 30, all open burning will be permitted once again throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre.
Cooler temperatures and recent rains have lessened the wildfire threat to 'low' in most of the Kamloops Fire Centre, according to the B.C. Wildfire Service.
Fireworks, sky lanterns, binary exploding targets, burn barrels and burn cages are also allowed where permissible.
The public should check with local authorities before lighting any fire of any size, as local restrictions could remain in place.
